OUR BLUE LIGHT BLOCKING GLASSES
WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?
Blue light corresponds to light with blue wavelengths emitted by our laptops, phones, some light bulbs, and even the sun!
Our blue light filter is not visible to the naked eye, but we promise it's there (and we're very proud of it!).
WHY IS BLUE LIGHT HARMFUL?
Blue light from screens can reduce contrast, leading to digital eye strain. Fatigue, dry eyes, poor lighting, or how you sit in front of the computer can also contribute to eye strain. Symptoms of eye strain include sore or irritated eyes and difficulty focusing.
Blue light can also contribute to difficulty falling asleep. This is because our bodies associate blue light with daytime, so being exposed to it when trying to sleep means the body stops releasing a sleep hormone called melatonin. Melatonin is our body's natural way of helping us relax and prepare for sleep.
WHAT DO BLUE LIGHT BLOCKING GLASSES LOOK LIKE?
Our blue light blocking coating is invisible to the naked eye, but it's there! The only difference you'll notice is that the lenses have a slight bluish tint when you put them in front of light emitting blue rays.
Our filter is applicable to all our prescription glasses.
