HOW ARE OUR GLASSES MADE?

Discover how each element that makes up your pairs of sunglasses and prescription glasses at Jimmy Fairly is crafted.

OUR LENSES.

At Jimmy Fairly, we have developed our own prescription lenses. Our team has designed lenses with quality standards so high that they scored the highest in tests (blind and in the laboratory), surpassing the three largest lens manufacturers in the world!

The lens is the most personalized element of a new pair of glasses, meticulously crafted to ensure a perfect fit in four steps:

- Frame survey: we take measurements of your frame to obtain a digital shape, allowing us to cut the lens.

- Centering: we then center the lens based on your pupillary distance and frame choice, checking the effectiveness of the lenses.

- Lens size: the lens is then cut according to the frame and customer specifications.

- Lens assembly: finally, we insert the lens into the frame.

OUR MATERIALS.

We choose materials and components of the highest quality to create our frames: Mazzucchelli (Italy), Jinyu and Jimei (China) for our acetates, and OBE (Germany) for our hinges.

OUR FRAMES.

The first element we create when making your new pair of glasses is the frame. It's the component that holds the lenses together, comfortably on your face. The entire frame, including the arms, is finished before the lenses are added.

FINAL CHECKS.

Each frame is manually checked in our French workshop in Goussainville to ensure optimal quality.

We check:

Lens effectiveness

Prescription centering

Symmetry

Arms and closure

Now that you understand how glasses are made, you can choose a pair that best suits your needs.
